If you keep a garden journal, you'll want to buy this now so you'll know what to add to your vegetable garden for next year. It is full of beautiful pictures, cooking hints, a little farming philosophy, and literally cooking for all seasons.
Although the recipes are geared toward a colder climate than what we have in Ohio, our vegetable crops are the same. And we here in Ohio think our maple syrup is as good as you get anywhere. So I was happy to see maple syrup in recipes.
It is not a vegetarian cookbook but does contain several recipes you can serve your vegetarian friends.
This would make a wonderful present for any vegetable gardener you know.
