(More customer reviews)I'm in the process of getting bariatric surgery, and part of the pre-op procedure is a two-week liquid-only diet. The main component of that diet is Boost Glucose Control, which does a good job of controlling my hunger while providing the nutrients I need as a substitute for solid food (along with other items, of course). I like all three flavors, but my favorite is, yes, chocolate. :-)
So, why am I only giving this product 1 star? The price. As of 7/26/2009, it's listed here as being over $50 for a 24-count case. However, I can go to various local grocery and pharmacy stores (Kroger, CVS, Wallgreens, Meijer, etc.) and buy a six-pack for about $10. Do the math: 4 times $10 equals $40 for 24 bottles. I can spend the saved $10 on another six-pack, giving me 30 bottles for the same price I'd be paying here for 24 bottles. Not very cost-effective!
Bring the price down, Amazon, and I'll be glad to change my rating. Until then, sorry, I'm buying locally for the better bargain (important in the current economic crunch).
