I purchased this to ease the suffering of a close family member who has heartburn regularly for several years and during this year's holiday season, she has just been miserable several times a day/night since Christmas with painful acid reflux. She's bought every over the counter product on the market including Tums, Prilosec and they only provide moderate or no relief. Prior to this, the only acid reflux product that has helped her is a prescription strength medication that costs about $500 for a three-month supply and even that does not provide such quick relief.
Tonight, she was desperate so she shook the bottle that arrived this afternoon, poured a tablespoon into a quarter of a glass of water and swallowed it and in less than a minute... INSTANT RELIEF!!! UPDATE: Feb 2011: My husband had bad heartburn after a long trip across the globe and strange, spicy food. He took some of this product after his usual over the counter stuff didn't help and he also experienced instant relief. I'm so glad I keep one of these in our medicine cabinet at all times. Definitely worth re-ordering and they make great gifts for friends or family with heartburn/acid reflux!! I promise they'll thank you for it...
