(More customer reviews)I reviewed this book along a dozen others as I was buying Christmas presents for my best friend. Despite my initial reaction to the title (ugh!), I immediately fell in love not just with the format and the recipes, but with the writing style, too. A lot of the other books were either too cutesy or silly, or much too serious. (Who wants to hold a big book or thumb through 50 pages to mix a few drinks??) This one was perfect, with a witty, sassy tone to complement the simple, fun recipes. It became our bartending bible during the pre- and post-Holiday festivities AND a conversation piece for guests (we threw at least two or three parties together last season), and I intend to purchase my own copy for my bar at home, as well. I will probably keep this on my "possible presents" list for other friends, too.
