Firstly, let me say that along with this I also own the [[ASIN:B0007XCT18
Maxell iPod Backup Battery Pack]] and the Turbo Charge iTurbo Portable Reusable iPod Charger - IP140 for my 30GB generation 5 iPod Video.
I will be flying from Ohio to Australia in the next month and I would like to be able to watch the movies, television shows and listen to my music and audiobooks on my ipod instead of being constrained by whatever in-flight entertainment provided. With that said, let's take a look at the Energizer Energi To Go Portable iPod Charger: PROS:
-Both CHARGES and EXTENDS battery life.
-Comes with 2 ENERGIZER e2 LITHIUM BATTERIES
-Small
-Folds up for packing
-Designed for G5 iPod video and nano devices but works with any G5 or G6 ipod (have not tested earlier models)
-Adjustable for iPod Nanos and VideosCONS:
-Made of plastic and has a delicate feel to it, extended use or rough traveling might break device and for $30, that would be unfortunate
-Batteries have to pretty much be forced into compartment, makes me nervous due to the plastic mentioned above.
-Docking system might not work with iPod cases, it didn't with my Belkin F8Z115-BLK Clear Acrylic and Brushed-Metal Case (Black)
-----------------------------
RATINGS:
2/5
Functionality: 5/5
Portability: 5/5
Overall: 4/5

Sometimes I like to play my iPod all night long in places where there is no electricity. Like on a camping trip or on an ocean crossing or just a two day sail. Yep, you guessed it, I'm a sailor, spent several years on a boat and let me tell you, when you are standing watch on a dark night your iPod can be your best friend. Nothing like John, Paul, George & Ringo or even Mozart to help you wile away the hours. But those nights can be long and if you've been sailing awhile, your Pod's battery is gonna run out of it's charge and with nowhere to plug it in, what will you do? What will you do?
The answer is, of course. TuneJuice. This little goodie costs about twenty bucks, uses disposable or rechargeable 9-volt batteries. You know, the same batteries you used to put into your transistor radio all those years ago, and with one of those batteries it'll keep your Pod running for an additional seven or eight hours, plenty of time to get you through the night. Take it from me, I know.

The Griffin Technology 002-TJUICE TuneJuice Battery Backup for iPod and iPod mini from Griffin Technology protects you from that ugly moment on the road when, just as you're rocking along to your favorite song, your iPod's battery expires, and you're left singing the rest of the song by yourself. TuneJuice is powered by a standard 9-volt battery, giving it enough juice to power your drained iPod for up to four hours, and power your partially charged iPod for up to eight extra hours. You can use TuneJuice to give added life to any dockable iPod or iPod mini.
